Georgia Graduation Rules Revision

Diploma Option Changes
  • Everyone will earn the same diploma
  • This new rule will affect the class of 2012 and
    all subsequent classes
  • Classes 2008-2011 will still follow the rule
    under which they entered high school

Elements of the newgraduation rule
  • 23 total units required for all students.
  • 4 units of English/Language Arts
  • 4 units of Mathematics
  • 4 units of Science
  • 3 units of Social Studies

  • 1 unit of Health and Physical Education (ROTC
    waiver still applies)
  • 3 units of CTAE and or Modern Language/Latin
    and/or Fine Arts
  • 4 additional elective units
