The Pilgrims Prayer
Lord God you are the Way Guide us along your
journey and teach us your ways so that each step
we walk is next to you. Lord God you are the
Truth. Speak to us your words and keep our
minds, our hearts, and our souls, centered on
you. Lord God, you are the Life. Your breath
began our life, and your presence sustains
it. Inspire us to keep your Light, and your
Life, Burning brightly within us.

NATIONAL CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE
What is NCYC?
The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is
the single largest event organized by the
Catholic Church in the United States. This
biennial event will bring together nearly 20,000
Catholic teenagers and chaperones from around the
country. Bishop Rhoades will join our delegation
consisting of one hundred - thirty young people
and chaperones from twelve parishes.
5
NATIONAL CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE
What will we do at NCYC?
NCYC is an exciting, three-day experience of
prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic
teenagers and their adult chaperones. The
schedule includes keynote addresses, concurrent
and workshop sessions addressing a wide variety
of topics. There are also opportunities for
liturgy, reconciliation, prayer and worship,
recreation and special activities such as
concerts, exhibits, and the interactive thematic
park. (for a complete list of concurrent or
workshop sessions visit www.nfcym.org)

Conference Theme
The overall theme of the 2009 NCYC is Christ
Reigns, though each general session has its own
particular sub-theme with scriptural reference.
They are Christ Reigns in Us (Friday morning)
Christ Reigns Among Us (Friday evening) Christ
Reigns Through Us (Saturday morning)
7
Conference Theme and Scriptural References
Conference Theme Christ Reigns The kingdom of
the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and
of his Annointed , and he will reign forever and
ever. Rev. 1115 Friday Morning Theme Christ
Reigns In Us Conduct yourselves as worthy of the
God who calls you into his kingdom and glory. 1
Thes. 212 Friday Evening Theme Christ Reigns
Among Us Above all, let your love for one another
be intense, because love covers a multitude of
sins. Be hospitable to one another without
complaining. As each one has received a gift, use
it to serve one another as good stewards of God's
varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with
the words of God whoever serves, let it be with
the strength that God supplies, so that in all
things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom belong glory and dominion forever and
ever. 1 Peter 48-11 Saturday Morning Theme
Christ Reigns Through Us For to this you have
been called, because Christ also suffered for
you, leaving you an example, that you should
follow in his steps. 1 Peter 221

dial HELP (4357). Security Department, on duty
