Title: The Pencil Parable
1The Candle Parable
In the beginning, the Candle Maker spoke to the
candle saying, "There are six things you need to
know before I send you out into the world.
Always remember them and you will become the
candle I want you to be."
2First
You will be able to do many great things, but
only if you allow yourself to be related to your
Maker (and not hiding somewhere like in a
box). -Encounter (intimacy with God)
3Second
You have the ability to strengthen yourself,
light up and warm up various corners of a dark
village if you get together with other candles. -
Warmth (small groups)
4Third
You will experience painful melting and forming
steps if you are to become a good
candle. -Formation
5Fourth
No matter what the condition, you must continue
to burn and offer yourself to people.
-Ministry/Service
6Fifth
You need to pass the light to every other
candles. -Evangelization
7Sixth
The most important part of you will always be
what's inside. -Character (become Christ like)
8The candle understood, promising to remember, and
went into the box fully understanding its Maker's
purpose.
