The Study
  • Determine if people would be willing to switch
    carriers to Cingular to get the iPhone.
  • Determine if Apple would be at a disadvantage by
    only offering the iPhone through Cingular, and
    not other carriers.
  • A completely random sample was obtained through
    social networks such as friendships, colleges and
    other random contacts.

Qualitative Results
  • 90 of the Respondents have heard of the iPhone.
  • Overall, 50 of the people in our study do not
    seem to be very pleased with their current
    provider.
  • 60 would not change their current provider to
    get an iPhone.
  • Approximately 80 of respondents would pay
    between 0-400 on the iPhone. Where as the price
    of the iPhone ranges from 500-600.
