TRANSFER TO SUBCUSTODY
Purpose (1) Transfers an RFI asset from the
Supply Officer to another individual or
organization on a subcustody basis. An example
of this is. for detachments to areas without
adequate support. (i.e. Fallon Nevada) This is
SUPO material and does not belong to the
squadron. Packup processing in disscussed further
in Lesson topic 17. SUBCUSTODY of SUPPO material
is also performed when temp loaned to AIMD for
bench verification.

CONTD.
  • (2) Transfers a RFI asset from the Supply
    Officer to a specific ORG for
    deployment purposes.
  • (3) Transfers RFI assets to suspense for further
    processing.

System Action (1) Deletes RFI item record.
(2) Creates subcustody item record. (3)
Creates transaction record. (4) Generates
subcustody Notice for signature
purposes.

  • Purpose
  • (1) Return subcustody assets to the Supply
    Officers direct control.
  • (2) Return suspense assets to the Supply
    Officers direct control.

sub-NIIN.

SUSPENSE PROCESSING
Purpose
  • Repairable Items are placed in suspense for a
    variety of reasons but some of the more common
    reasons are
  • TD incorporation
  • Re-identify material
  • Protect RFI qty
  • Engineering Investigation
  • Induct item for test and check to validate RFI
    condition. (i.e. RFI tag lost or missing)

  • (3) Transfer material to suspense for
  • (a) TD incorporation
  • (b) To re-identify a Supply Officers asset
    from one to another within the same FGC.

    suspense management code, indicating the item is
    awaiting maintenance action.
