Portion of NIST SBIR budget will be dedicated to
American small business technology innovation and
conversion of federal RD into commercial
application
NIST SBIR Solicitation 2 types of subtopics -
traditional with subtopics addressing NIST RD
needs - TT Technology Transfer model
identifying existing NIST technology and research
necessary to exploit commercially

private sector commercialization of innovations
derived from federal RD SBIR awardees
