PSP and HiSIM2 status in Cadence tools

• PSP (psp1000,psp100 and juncap200) has been
  successfully linked into Spectre from the first
  day the model codes were released.
• We just added some OP parameters to make it more
  usable in Spectre.
• PSP and HiSIM2 will be formally released in
  mmsim61 release in Dec.2005. However, early
  access will be available for CMC members to do
  evaluation (PSP available now, HiSIM2 will be in
  July).
• Both PSP and HiSIM2 will be available in our
  extraction tool for simulation and optimization
  in July.

Cadences View-Points

• Cadence supports CMCs decision/recommendation in
  models.
• Cadence is not biased to any model. However,
  Cadences model implementation priority is
  customer-driven and also depends on how model
  developers are willing to share the resource with
  us.
• It is recommended to add version control in the
  model for backward compatibility reasons when new
  versions are released.
• More detailed extraction methodology or routines
  will expedite models maturity.
• Good model code quality (especially the
  consistency between currents/charges and
  conductance/capacitances) will much shorten model
  implementation time.
