ACT 2003 STATEMENT OF LICENSING POLICY 2005 -
2007 Approved by Newcastle upon Tyne City
Council 5th January 2005 The Licensing Act 2003
requires all licensing authorities such as
Newcastle upon Tyne City Council to publish every
three years a statement of its licensing policy.
Newcastle upon Tyne City Council is a Licensing
Authority for the purposes of the Licensing Act
2003 and is responsible for granting premises
licences, club premises certificates, temporary
events notices and personal licences in the City
in respect of licensable activities. The
Council will employ licensing enforcement
officers to investigate allegations of unlicensed
activities and to ensure that licence conditions
are complied with. 72. Drinking water (e.g. tap
water) shall be available or served at all
times when patrons are present on the premises.
