3Colleges and universities are not first response
organizations, however they are important
components of the communities in which they are
located. The NIMS Integration Center highly
recommends NIMS compliance at the community
level, including NIMS and ICS training, exercises
and evaluation. And those persons with emergency
responsibilities at the university should work
with the community's emergency response community
and be knowledgeable about NIMS and ICS. NIMS

4- RECOMMENDATIONS
- Colleges and Universities modify their current
EOP procedures to institutionalize ICS according
to NIMS Guidance (Tab 12) - Personnel that are assigned a role in incident
management have training relevant to their
