- Rural Innovation Fund launched
- Microsoft India and Canadas International
Development Research Centre (IDRC) have launched
a rural innovation fund, an initiative the
organizations hope would help in spreading the
benefits of information technology in rural
areas. - The fund would begin with a seed capital of
200,000 and finance IT projects that offer
localised applications and solutions for rural
communities. - Rural HUB Initiatives MOU with GOI E-Governance
Programs of Panchayati Raj - To set up rural business hubs in the country.
- Rural hubs would help farmers to sell their
produce at the best possible prices. - Under the government's e-Governance initiative,
