The first step in making an IV bag is receiving
an order from the physician

Next, you must verify that the drug has been
ordered in the correct dose and correct frequency

Then, the pharmacist enters the order into the
hospital computer system and generates a label to
go on the IV bag

The label is printed out and the pharmacist or
technician reviews the label for accuracy
