Basic Information
  • Missouri State PIN is required - use Pick A PIN
    at www.missouristate.edu/mypin to obtain or to
    change
  • Electronic Advisor Release is required for
    freshmen, sophomores, students on probation, and
    graduate degree-seeking students, and new
    transfer students
  • The web registration system follows the same
    registration sequence and policies as the
    existing system
  • The following groups of students are not eligible
    to use the web registration system
  • Athletes (register in the Athletic Achievement
    Center)
  • First-time freshmen (register during SOAR
    program)
  • Precollege/Dual High School (registered by
    Continuing Education
  • Precollege/On Campus (register in University
    College)
  • The existing registration system and registration
    locations remain available

Web Registration Cannot Be Used
  • To enroll in classes that require a signed
    approval form
  • Classes that require permission (prerequisite,
    approval to exceed close level, departmental wait
    list, waiver of departmental reserves)
  • Senior Permission for Graduate Credit
  • Mixed Credit
  • Obtain signatures and department stamps on the
    appropriate form(s) and bring to a registration
    center for processing
  • To enroll in classes that cause overload status
  • Obtain Overload/Excess Hours Permit signed by
    appropriate official and bring to a registration
    center for processing
  • To enroll after being given a Temporary Clearance
    of Encumbrance form to allow registration while
    encumbered
  • Bring the Temporary Clearance form to an
    authorized registration center for processing

Preparing for Registration
  • Access My Student Information
  • Registration Status option to find the date/time
    you are eligible to register, whether you have
    encumbrances, and whether you need an advisor
    release. If an advisor release is required, make
    an appointment to meet with your advisor.
  • Review your degree audit, transcript, transfer
    evaluation, and advising notes to develop list of
    desired classes.

as Registration Blocked click on the title of
that item for information.
You may register on or after this date/time

  • Access the web Missouri State Class Schedule at
    www.missouristate.edu/classschedule to check
    course offerings
  • Use the Find A Class search feature
  • Use the Trial Schedule Grid Tool
  • Be sure to review the course and section
    prerequisites and comments

Click on a discipline, or on Find A Class, or one
of the presorts at left to view class
offerings NOTE Class schedule information is
live or real time

all of the criteria listed

Classes entered are displayed on a schedule grid.
Time conflicts and closed classes are noted.
Clicking on the building information opens map
and descriptive information for that building.

Information from the schedule is displayed for
each class. The Additional Info column will note
if class is closed, or requires permission to
enroll.

  • Once your date/time to register has arrived,
    access My Student Information

You can choose to check your status by clicking
this button instead. However, you cannot
continue with the registration process until you
consent to use online contracts.
Click on this button to view and accept the
Online Contract Agreement. You should only have
to do this once during your time at Missouri
State.

Essentially this is an agreement that your PIN is
equivalent to your signature on a paper form,
such as the Registration Request form or a
housing contract form.

This general contract can be viewed at any time
from the My Information-Online Contract Center.
This option can also be used to rescind your
approval to use online contracts at any time in
the future.
Click the I Agree button

Click Next NOTE Once you have agreed to use
online contracts these pages will no longer
appear when you register for classes in the
future.

Select the semester and click Submit

Click Edit/Change button to update address
When all items in the Enrollment Eligibility
Checklist show OK and the two items below show
YES you are eligible to proceed with your
registration. NOTE Athletes, first-time
freshmen, and precollege students cannot use the
web system and will have a message regarding
registration options.

Consent required each semester when process
initial registration.
Must consent to this agreement to continue.
Those registering in person must consent by
signing the registration form.

This exact agreement can be viewed at any time
via the Online Contracts Center

completed and the steps remaining to complete the

Type in desired classes in the Working Schedule
area

Use links to open schedule, degree audit,
deadline information, and FAQ.
Click Next (not shown here) to have classes
checked and placed on grid.

You can enter additional classes and/or remove
classes
Check below for messages and follow the
instructions

The Next button will always appear if problems
found. It will reappear if you type in a new
class or check a drop box to remove a class. The
Finish button only appears when no problems noted.

Entered new class and clicked Next. System
returned warning message.
Then clicked drop box next to JRN 477 which
caused Next button to reappear and clicked Next,
and then clicked Finish. The following page then
appeared.

The message box appears to confirm you are
finished.

This confirmation page includes your new schedule
and invoice for the specified semester.

Registration Completed
  • The day following your registration or change of
    schedule, go to the My Information system and
  • Access the My Schedule option and review the
    Prerequisite Column to see if the system has
    placed the UNMET prerequisite notation on any of
    your classes. If so, click the UNMET link and
    review the information. Click on the Explanation
    link for detailed information regarding the
    prerequisite checking system.
  • Access the My Degree Audit option to verify that
    the classes are appropriate and that none are
    considered to be invalid repeats of previously
    completed courses. Only available for degree
    seeking undergraduate students.
  • Pay fees by the deadline shown on your
    registration invoice to prevent cancellation of
    your registration.

System Availability
  • Classes may be added using the web registration
    system up through the end of the Change of
    Schedule Period for the semester (day 5 of fall
    or spring, day 2 of summer)
  • Classes may be dropped using the web registration
    system up through the last day to drop or
    withdrawal for that class length.
  • System generally available
  • Weekdays 7am to 9pm
  • Weekends Saturday from 7am to 3pm, then reopens
    around 6pm and remains available until 3pm Sunday
    and reopens around 8pm Sunday
  • System works best with Windows 2000 or above and
    Internet Explorer 6.0 or above
