10Our philanthropy
- Every year we use our
- cookie money to help needy
- families. Our troop looks for
- deserving families and we
- dedicate our time to helping
- them. We shop for gifts and
- essentials. When we deliver
- the gifts, we love seeing their
- smiles. The look on their faces is priceless.
11More about our service project
- For the last nine years, we have joined together
with The Giving Tree (our local newspapers
annual service project) and adopted two families
per year. We set aside funds from each years
product sales to accomplish this.
12- We purchase necessary clothing, toiletries,
toys, games, and food for these families. Our
troop comes together to shop, wrap, and deliver
these gifts. It is eye opening to see the living
conditions of the families, and heart warming to
know weve made a difference in their lives.
13EVALUATION
- Although we did not reach our troop goal, we did
earn enough to enable us to help two families and
travel to San Diego. - We learned it is ok if you do not reach your
goal and to not get discouraged. It is all a
learning process. - We also learned we should keep our cool
