  • ConconectTM The way ahead in securing our
    water collection
  • your water our future...

2
Trading Pty Ltd
  • We are committed to
  • Operating efficiently to deliver quality water
and wastewater products and services to a growing
    population, while protecting our unique
    environment and acknowledging our
responsibilities to the communities we serve.

3
  • Water - A Scarce Resource
  • Increasing water usage due to population growth.
  • The effects of climate change (including extended
    periods of drought).
  • The huge cost to develop new water infrastructure
(such as dams and stormwater management
    systems).
  • The impact of stormwater runoff on the
environment. If we are to ensure a sustainable
water supply for the future, it is critical that
we limit water consumption and develop smarter
ways to harness our water resources.

4
  • CURRENT METHOD OF CONNECTION OF PVC TO REINFORCED
    CONCRETE PIPE (R.C.P)

Toilet Pan Collar connected to 100mm PVC.
PVC pipe mortared into main RCP.
Only partially fits and does not seal internally,
easily dislodged with any movement
Mortar once dried, cracks and does not adhere
well to PVC. Once mortar breaks the pipe can move
in or out of the pipeline
5
  • Break in made to reinforced concrete pipe
    (R.C.P.) showing reinforcement wire exposed
    internally and externally.

6
  • When the PVC pipe is inserted to the main barrel
drain no predetermined depth can be ensured.

Standard Entry When mortar seal Has not dried
before Back Filling Main Drain Resulting in
Blockages
7
  • Various methods applied externally in an attempt
to seal externally only (mortar, paper, ad hoc
    fittings and large backfill material)
  • No internal seal is ever made!

8
  • RISKS EFFECTS CCTV Has shown significant
numbers of such applications where external seals
    FAIL!
  • Both Backfill, Water and the PVC pipe penetrate
the main barrel drain (R.C.P), resulting in a
blockage and a significant loss of water.

9
  • Infiltration of trench materials can cause R.C.P.
to block and effect flow rates.
  • Subsurface backfill leaking into pipelines has
been known to cause damage to finished surface
    levels weakening surface structures.

10
  • As shown by CCTV, internally exposed
reinforcement rusts which ultimately results in
reduced asset life of the pipeline.

11
  • Councils have required contractors to rectify
these defective connections when found using
CCTV. Additional work on site to rectify and
reinstall often causes complaints from residents
and contractors, with delayed completion dates
    and significant loss of profits.

12
  • Without CCTV inspections, councils cannot be
confident of effective connections and desired

14
  • Accepted break in method can still be utilised

15
  • CONCONECTTM is fitted with an internal stainless
steel and high quality rubber seal.
  • (Seal fitted to inside of RCP Pipe)

Internal seal moulds to curvature inside pipe
16
  • CONCONECTTM can also be utilised when connecting
to stormwater pits and culvert drains.
Eliminating the use of mixing mortar and other
    bonding compounds.

CONCONECTTM
Current Method
17
  • CONCONECTTM has BOTH an EXTERNAL rubber backfill
seal as well as a highly resilient quick connect
    UPVC Securing Seating Flange.

Conconect Fitted to R.C.P. externally

18
  • CONCONECTTM has additional tension bolts
connecting the R.C.P. pipe on at least four
    points.

Patent Pending
19
  • Each CONCONECTTM is supplied fully assembled with
    inspection cap.
  • CONCONECTTM ensures the R.C.P. pipe is fully
sealed BOTH internally and externally, eliminates
backfill erosion and infiltration. Reduces the
    possibility of corrosion to reinforcement
    associated with the current methods.

  • CONCONECTTM finally delivers a connection that
seals internally and externally FIRST TIME, EVERY
    TIME leaving no exposed reinforcement.
  • CONCONECTTM can be installed after break in in
less than a minute thus reducing labour costs.

21
  • Contractors now have a cost effective product
which will ensure storm water connections are
    successful

22
  • Councils will have peace of mind that if its
connected by CONCONECTTM, home connections will
    now be fit for purpose.
  • The risk of environmental damage such as
corrosion to roadsides, public and private
    property will be REDUCED.
  • CONCONECTTM eliminates the risk of pipe
    penetration, infiltration, blockages and ensures
    INCREASED FLOW RATES!

23
  • The first connection designed specifically to
solve councils and contractors long standing
concerns with connection methods of R.C.P. to
    UPVC.
  • Designed by Australians for Australians.
