What was generally done well
  • Basic computer skills
  • Marks were very high in this section
  • Writing up your own experience
  • This was generally executed very well
  • Expressing your own opinion
  • Most of the opinions were positive and expressed
very well. It is equally valid to disagree with
the authors by similarly providing evidence of
    why.
  • Planning before writing
  • There was a big change here from the 2005 IPP
PET and possibly resulted in the higher marks
overall i.e. many candidates had well structured
    responses.

5
Room for Improvement
  • The Interpretation
  • Go past describing the situation to explaining
and /or illustrating it with a specific example,
either from the text or from your experience.
  • Make sure you address the issues in the question
  • Filling in the page with lots of writing wont
cut it address the specific issues the question
    asks for

A summary

    saying?"
  • is the result of careful reading of the source
  • generally does not agree/ disagree with or
    criticise the author's opinions

9

  • Comment on what has been ignored, biases and the
    use of evidence
  • Comment on the authors beliefs, judgements or
circumstances how may this have influenced
    their point of view?

12
Critique and application
  • Includes the above points plus the new
    perspective of your own experience

one hand and your experience on the other
    similarities, disagreements, worries, long term
