Supraspinatus Tendon

• Diagnosis Partial Tear of the Supraspinatus
  Tendon.
• History None
• Findings Patient complaining of shoulder pain.
  A large partial thickness articular surface tear
  (arrows) of the supraspinatus tendon is shown.
  The exam takes advantage of a new technical
  development known as spatial compounding. As a
  result, the inherent graininess of the ultrasound
  image is reduced. The images of the tear,
  humeral head (H) and greater tuberosity (GT) are
  better defined using this technique.
• Treatment Surgery.
