There are 3 main types of farming...
Pastoral
Mixed
5This is a picture of an Arable farm...
These farmers only grow plants.
They dont have any animals.

- A reasonably warm climate
- Some rain but not too much
- Quite a lot of sun.
- Flat or gently sloping land.
- Access to market.
- Fertile soil.

- A climate that is not too wet and not too dry,
reasonably warm. - Flat or gently sloping land.
- Access to market, good roads, shearing machines,
and ploughs. - Good-quality soil.

These farmers only have animals.
- Pastoral Farming needs
- A climate that is not too wet, not too dry.
Quite warm. - Can have any land, flat or sloping or, if they
have sheep, can be mountainous. - Milking machines, shearing machines, transport to
market. - Soil that supports grasses, doesnt have to be
that fertile.

11Where Is This Farming In Europe ?
The type of farming is determined by the relief
and climate. For example, Romania has mostly
arable.
