• Series of vivas/presentations
• Submission and publication

Expectations from students

• Students will have to read and comprehend one or
  two compulsory research papers designated for
  every session before coming to every class
• Submit one-page summary before the start of the
  class
• Students will need to go through reference
  material as well (papers, books, online articles,
  software demos etc).
• All the class discussions will be meant for
  promoting the breadth knowledge of various hot
  research topics of SE

Deadlines

• Selection of depth research area and proposal
  submission (with consultation and approval of
  instructors) By the end of 3rd week
• In 5th week, viva or presentations will be held
  in order to assess the mid-way progress
• Depth survey of related literature, building up
  case for your own problem and preparation of a
  survey report By the end of 6th week
• Identification of Targeted Workshop/Conference
• Keep in mind conference deadlines afterwards
• In 8th week, viva will be scheduled to assess
  mid-way progress
• Research on solution of the identified problem,
  writing final research paper and final
  presentations 10th Week
