3BACKGROUND where we were
- First wave established in 2003 based in GUM
- Small isolated Chlamydia screening office with 3
staff - 2005 Screening office hosted by the Contraception
and Sexual Health Service but not integral to
the service - Lack of strategic influence making it difficult
to increase screens - Model not achieving target

- Chlamydia GUM top priorities for the PCT
- Sexual Health Commissioning group developed
everybody's business - Director interest looking forward
- Chlamydia screening a must do and needs to be
managed in a sustainable way. Focus agreed to be
one of a Public Health Direction - Access to key strategic partners, Primary Care,
commissioning, PBC, Public Health Sexual Health
