BACKGROUND where we were
  • First wave established in 2003 based in GUM
  • Small isolated Chlamydia screening office with 3
    staff
  • 2005 Screening office hosted by the Contraception
    and Sexual Health Service but not integral to
    the service
  • Lack of strategic influence making it difficult
    to increase screens
  • Model not achieving target

  • Sexual Health Commissioning group developed
    everybody's business
  • Director interest looking forward
  • Chlamydia screening a must do and needs to be
    managed in a sustainable way. Focus agreed to be
    one of a Public Health Direction
