  while performing both male and female roles.
• The actors were all men, women weren't allowed to

  harps, pipes, flutes, and other hand-made
  instruments.

• The Athenians filled the theater to listen to a
  poet.
• The Greeks believed a storyteller named Homer
  wrote the poems.
