- HHS is currently located in the most deprived SOA
in Bristol and in the top 100 in the UK - Our management practice are based in the 2nd most
healthy in Bristol - A distance of about 3.5 miles and about 6 years

- Hash team 2 nurses and 3 sessional GP's.
- Evening outreach service.
- Evening outreach on mobile needle exchange.

7Management Structure
2005 - homeless health care In Bristol was felt
to be fragmented and skewed towards mental
health. Bids were invited from interested
parties to tender for the management of the
service. 2006 - Management of Service passed to
a north Bristol GP practice - 7,000 patients in
an affluent residential area a 3rd sector
national organisation housing work for formerly
homeless people.
8Current Model Of Provision.
- BPCT has commissioned the current management team
to provide a Locally Enhanced Service providing
specialist health care for homeless people. - HHS does not register patients.
- HHS Does not provide out of hours services.

9HHS STREET DRINKERS
- Increasing contact with street drinkers.
- Poly drug use is a common factor.
- Level of clients with Hepatitis C and problematic
alcohol use. - HHS part of a pilot project developing wet
provision. - Engage with street drinkers, build relationships
- Developing guidelines for nutritional assessment
and community Pabrinex.

- Hard to reach vulnerable group.
- HHS clinic for sex workers.
- STI screening.

- Hepatitis / HIV screening

- We advise re safe injecting.
- Work with BDP at the needle exchange / safe
injecting work shops. - HIV / Hepatitis screening
