at LNF with dummy RPCs and in BB5 with real

- MDT drawings ready and implemented
- RPC cabling exercise at LNF not yet finished

10DCS - CSM RASMUX on the R.O. Cross Plate
It seems possible to install CSM-DCS-RASMUX on
the RO Cross Plat, in the middle, between Long
Beam terminations. Using an additional plate is
possible to make a pre-assembly and than fix all
on the Cross Plate. OPEN ITEMS - We have not
fully tested the electrical compatibility and the
cabling integration (also with respect to RPC
cabling). - We have to verify the accessibility
on the barrel
ADDITIONAL PLATE To fix all on Cross Plates
EXTRA LENGTH CABLE STORAGE AREA free space where
it is possible to roll up and fasten cables,
adjust the orientation of flat cables to avoid
stress on the connectors. This area is available
on both sides of the additional plate.

- As soon as RPC cabling completely defined,
assembly and test with cosmics of a BML station
at LNF ( CS from Dubna production and final RPC
cabling and services) - Start preparing the first BML station assembly at
BB5
18Status of the components
- Common Supports production in Dubna started
first shipping of 10 CS within february? - MDT missing CSM and ELMB (to be added
afterward problem with storage?) - RPC unavailability of preproduction of trigger
electronics until may 2004 (10 pieces). Problem
with BB5 cosmic ray station trigger ! (to be
added afterward problem with RPC test and
storage?)

20COMMENTS ON THE SCHEDULE
- Up to now only work on the MDT chambers at Cern,
which did not have the gas distribution
installed, has been done - When the RPC cabling will be defined the MDTRPC
assembly will start - A learning phase will be necessary in order to
optimize the procedures and the facilities and
the relative software - During the learning phase the production will
proceed at reduced speed - In the regime phase the speed considered up
to now is 1 Station / day - The feasibility of this has to be demonstrated
