William BradburyWrote Just As I Am1816-1868
In 1862 he found the poem wrote the tune, added
"Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus Loves me..."
and published it. Within months, this song became
amazingly popular. Even now 140 years later,
"Jesus Loves Me" is still the No. 1 spiritual
song in the hearts of children around the world.

The great theologian was asked by a reporter if
he could summarize the greatest spiritual truth. 
Dr. Barth thought for a moment and then said
"Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells
me so."
