    John Mark.
  • He was a cousin of Barnabas (Col 410) traveled
    with Paul Barnabas (Acts 135) valued by Paul
    (2 Tm 411).
  • He recorded Peters recollections of Jesus
    ministry (I Pt 513)

  • Written in Greek
  • Mark wrote while Peter was still alive.
  • The Gospel as written before the early 60s.
  • Generally dated between the 40s-60s.

  • Written most probably from Rome to Gentiles
    living there.
  • He explains Aramaic expressions (317 541
    711. 34 1436 1534).
  • He also uses expressions reflecting the Latin
    language (1242 1516).
