• Summary During this project the students will be
  given a career and its annual income. The
  students will have to determine the percentage,
  fraction and decimal of each expense out of their
  monthly income. Graph it and then present it.

Learning Objectives

• The students will be able to convert percentages
  to decimals using a calculator.
• The students will be able to convert decimals to
  fractions using a calculator.
• The students will be able to create a pie chart
  with a given percentage, fraction and decimal
  using a computer software called Graphing
  Workshop.

Activities

• Day 1- Intro to Project, assign careers and
  review percent, fraction and decimals
• Day2- Let students find their monthly expenses
  (rent, food, car, etc.)
• Day3- Find the percentage of each expense and
  convert to fraction and decimal.
• Day4- Learn the graphing program and design pie
  graph of monthly expenses
• Day5- Present pie graph
