EU FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

• Most of the EU funding is paid via the national
  or regional authorities of the EU member states.
• Some of the EU funding is paid by the European
  Commission directly to the beneficiaries like
  universities, NGOs, businesses, interest groups.
• Some of the EU funding goes to beneficiaries
  outside the European Union, either directly or in
  partnership with an EU-based organisation.

LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME

• Relevant Lifelong Learning programmes
• Leonardo da Vinci enables VET organisations to
  work with European partners, exchange best
  practices, increase the expertise of staff and
  respond to the teaching and learning needs of
  people.
• Grundtvig focuses on the teaching and study needs
  of those in adult education and alternative
  education streams, as well as the institutions
  and organisations delivering these services.
• Comenius focuses on the development of school
  education systems, in particular the education
  and training of teachers, language learning, ICT,
  maths, science and technology, etc

DAPHNE PROGRAMME

• Managed by DG Justice and Home Affairs
• Budget 109 Mn (2007-2013)
• Objective to contribute to the protection of
  children, young people and women against all
  forms of violence by facilitating trans-national
  and multisectoral action
• Violence is understood in a wide sense, from
  sexual abuse to domestic violence, from
  commercial exploitation to bullying in schools,
  from trafficking to discrimination-based violence
  against people with disabilities, minorities,
  migrants or other vulnerable people.
