4Responsibilities of U.S. Technical Advisory
Groups (TAGs)
- Determine the U.S. positions on matters arising
before an international standards committee - Submit these positions, via ANSI, to the
committee - Initiate and approve U.S. proposals for new work,
draft texts, and/or U.S. positions on drafts that
have been submitted by others - Appoint
- delegations to represent U.S. interests to the
related international committee - experts to serve on working groups
- Nominate U.S. candidates for officer positions,
as appropriate - Establish liaisons with groups working in related
fields - Serve as host for meetings of the committee that
are held in the U.S.

- Work closely with ISO Central Secretariat (CS) in
