1The New AUXINFO
Many features are completely different from the
previous version. There are areas where a Right
Click on the mouse is required as opposed to the
customary left click. The next slides attempt to
bring you up to speed on the differences you will
see in this new version and how to navigate and
obtain the desired results.

2A Different Opening Screen
Click on Continue ---
3--- brings a familiar screen where AUXDATA or
AUXMIS cubes can be selected
4Clicking on AUXDATA brings the individual Cubes
5Clicking on Member Activities cube brings a
screen with a completely new look
6The left side of the screen, the Dimension
Viewer. is where you drill down, nest, and
filter.
Left click on any takes you down a level
7Drilling down to a member is simple, just keep
clicking on the until the member is found
Right click on the member name, then left click
on Filter, and ----
8---the Report Section shows that members
activity.
9You can drill down on any of the items shown
below by the same process. Left click on the
by All Facilities takes you down one level.
Continued left click on the will take you to
an individual facility
10Right click on any item below brings a pop up
that allows additional capabilities.
Right click on the MEASURES and the pop up
offers six available actions. Left click on Nest
Columns and you get ---
11--- a breakdown of the measures
12There is the capability to replace columns or
rows with one of the items listed below
As an example, right click on All Years and on
the resulting pop up, left click on Replace
Columns
Then....
13....this Report display is replaced by .......
14....this display showing the Mission Hours by
Calendar Year.
15There is the capability to show the details of
each Auxiliary mission (30, 31 and 32 etc.) Right
click on the small rectangle at the top of the
column. Then....
16....left click on Expand and the presentation
changes to display all individual missions as
shown below
17Instead of Expand, click on Down a Level and
the below is replaced with this,,,,,,
18....listing of the individual missions.
19Right click on a column or row displays this pop
up providing for additional functions. Left click
on Hide Selection causes the highlighted column
or row to be hidden.
20Left click on Hide/Show displays the Hide/Show
screen which allows selection of several columns
to be hidden.
21Left click on Insert Calculations displays the
Calculations screen where a variety of
calculations can be performed on selected numbers
22Available calculations. Selecting an operation
displays the requirements for that calculation
23Selecting Add and Multiply results in the
below to select where the action is to be
performed. If two or three categories are to be
selected, hold down the CTRL key while clicking
on the desired categories.
24Selecting Subtract, Divide, Percent and
Exponentiate results in the below to select
where the action is to be performed.
25Selecting Percent of Base, Cumulative Percent
and Accumulative results in the below for
selecting where the action is to be performed.
26An example of using the Calculation feature.
After obtaining a list of all members with Lead
hours in MT and PE, right click on the MT column.
27On the pop up, left click on Insert Calculation
In the Calculations screen, use the default
Add.
28In the Includes categories window, scroll down
to MT (which is highlighted) and continue
scrolling to UPE. Pressing the CTRL button,
click on UPE, then click on OK.
29A new column is added to the display showing the
total of MT plus PE hours.
30This new column can be sorted to show the totals
in descending or ascending order. Right click on
the column heading, and ignore the pop up shown.
Left click on the arrows at the top of the column.
31Left click on Sort Descending and that
column....
32....column is now sorted in descending order of
total Instructor MT plus PE hours .
33Click on Explain brings up this screen showing
the status of the selected column or row.
34A new look to the bottom menu bar

File
While many icons are the same, new actions, and
using left and right click are required to get
the desired results

Suppress Zeros
The action or Swap Axis and Suppress Zeros
are the same as before. Left click on either
icon brings the same results.
The file function is different. Clicking on
the File icon brings this pop up where export
to PDF or CSV is selected. Reset takes you back
to original cube

36Prepare Bookmark
This feature works as before. Clicking on this
icon will cause the screen to repaint.
Then, dont forget to click on Favorites on the
browser top menu bar and then click on Add to
Favorites on the drop down menu.
37CAUTION!
All Bookmarks prepared under the former version
will no longer work. All new bookmarks must be
prepared that will work with this new version.
38Clicking on the Find icon bring the Find screen
where a search can be made for some desired text.
39- Below Search String, youll notice a
drop-down box that contains the options for
searching for a phrase that Contains, Begins
With, or Ends With a word of your choice.
40Find(cont.)
- Your options are limited searching to the Report
and the Cube.
41- If you choose Report, your search options
are Rows and Columns, Rows, or Columns.
42- If you choose Cube, notice your search
options are identical to the folder names listed
in the Dimension Viewer.
43- Once you have made your choices, click
Find. Clicking Close will abort the Find
function.
44The Display Options icon. Clicking on it
brings the Display Options pop up. Here the
number or rows or columns to be displayed is
selected.
45Clicking on All will allow all rows or columns
to be displayed.
46The Show Hide icon. Clicking on it will bring
up the Hide/Show pop up where selected columns
or,
rows can be hidden from view or shown. To use
this feature, the columns or rows must be
selected and moved to the right window.
47To display only MT and PE activities, click in
the small rectangle above the column. This
highlights the column in yellow. Then .
48...click on the Show Hide icon to bring up the
Hide/Show pop up.
Listed in the Visible Categories window are all
rows currently visible. To display only the MT
and PE missions, Click Select All and the right
facing arrow
49In the right window, scroll down and click on MT
then click the left facing arrow. Scroll down
and click on UPE then click the left facing arrow
and both MT and UPE are moved to the left window,
To complete the action, click OK
50Only the MT and UPE Activities are now shown
51At the far right of the bottom menu bar there is
this Icon Mouse over text says
Return to Source. Clicking on it will return
you from the current Cube to the Cube Selection
Screen where another cube may be selected.
52A New look to the Dimension Line
- There are 7 Arrows to help you maneuver.
53Pressing this button changes the display from
showing both the Report area and the Dimension
Viewer to....
54...to the Report area only. Note, the arrow
now faces the opposite direction.
Clicking on it again restores the Dimension
Viewer.
55- If there are more Dimensions to be displayed
clicking on a darken arrow will cause the
Dimension Line to move.
These are available
56- Pressing the darken arrows will result in moving
the displayed dimensions either one position - Or all positions
57- The buttons to the far right of the Dimension
line deal with changing views of the report and
the Dimension line itself.
58- When you have drilled down to a specific unit or
member, clicking this button returns you the the
US Coast Guard level.
59- This button allows you to expand the
Dimension Line to display all Dimensions that
have been selected.
Clicking on it will cause the display to change
from the single line to.......
60...a multiple line display of all Dimensions.
At the same time the arrow has change from this..
...to this. Clicking now
will return the single line display.
