Funding Agencies - FP 6 project, which aimed at building up a
network of funding agencies and creating
conditions for a joint Baltic Sea Research
programme - BONUS Baltic Organisations Network for Funding
Science EEIG - a legal entity established on April 19th, 2007
- makes a contract with the EC
- organises the call and distributes the EC funds
to national agencies - BONUS
- a call to be launched on Septemebr 17th, 2007.
Includes both national and EC ERANET Plus funds. - BONUS-169
- a long term programme to be implemented under
Article 169 of the EC Treaty - will be established maybe in 2008-2009

- Priority will be given research projects linking
Themes 2-6 with 1 and 7 in an interdisciplinary
manner. - However, interdisciplinary research among Themes
2-6 is also encouraged.
24BONUS Call 2007
- Funding can be applied for
- transnational projects, minimum of two Baltic Sea
countries - partners from other EU countries or third
countries if expertise or facilities, scarce in
the Baltic Sea countries, are brought into the
projects. These participants must cover 50 of
their expenses - duration of projects is max. three years
25BONUS Call 2007
- total funding of a project shoul be within limits
of 100 000 2 000 000 euros - projects may suggest training courses open for
the whole programme additional funding of 10
000 euros

- Two step application procedure
- Submission of Letters of Intent by November 28th,
2007 - Electronic Proposal Submission System through
BONUS portal - Project Coordinator initializes the submission
process
