money to help the homeless and hungry this
Christmas
14The Salvation Army has teamed up with the New
Covent Garden Food Co. In December look out for a
special New Covent Garden soup in your local
shops. Buying the soup will help to raise money
for The Salvation Army.
Were also asking people to take part in our
Soup Kitchen Challenge on Friday 27th November
and support The Salvation Armys work in their
community and around the UK Ireland.

Decide where to hold your soup lunch or soup
event. Make sure you talk to your teacher,
leader, parent or carer about your ideas.

more about Soup Kitchen Challenge and how to
organise your event. There are tips to help you
plan your event, soup recipes, posters, fact
files about The Salvation Armys work and a
sponsorship form.

about your Soup Kitchen Challenge event to New

All the money raised will go to The Salvation
Armys work with people who are homeless or in
need
- Helping people to move off the streets and,
eventually, into their own home. - Drop-in centres and soup-runs.
- Providing dinners and food parcels for
families and people who are struggling this
Christmas.
