• When Jackie was only a half a year old his father
  deserted his family

  moved to Pasadena, California

  title with a 342. batting average

  National league

• Because he had to overcome that people didnt
  like him and they wanted him out of baseball
  because he was an African American
• Because he proved people wrong, because they
  thought that he was no good, they hated him, and
  they misjudged him
• And he set a good example for African Americans
  that you can be a different color but you still
  can do anything you want to do

• I think Jackie Robinson is a hero because the
  example that he set for African Americans that
  you can play a sport or you can do anything you
  want to do
• Also because when he was playing for the Dodgers
  he showed up every day even though people didnt
  want him there any way
