PECS Drill Down
2
Benefits of Using PECS Drill Down
  • Quickly and easily drill-down into the RSR
items, listing the patients with data entered
that contribute to the total and percentage.
  • This listing can then be copied to an Excel
spreadsheet and used in a Mail Merge with a Word
    document to create patient letters.
  • Get unstuck! Improve your outcomes to reach
    target goals.

3
Step 1
  • In the Reports module, use the drop-down box near
the top of the screen to Select the Report
    Category select the condition your
    Collaborative team is focusing on.
  • Notice that many if not all of the reports are
listed in red. This means they are reports that
are pre-loaded into the shipped version of
PECS. Any reports added by PECS users are
    listed in black.

4
Step 2
  • Click on the column headers to sort the reports
clicking once sorts A-Z, and clicking twice sorts
Z-A. Find the Registry Summary Report for your
teams condition in the Report Name column, and
double-click on it to Run it.

  • Click Preview, and then wait for PECS to generate
the report. Once the report screen appears, drag
your mouse over the lettered labels, and notice
that each one is highlighted in yellow when the
    mouse is over it.
  • Click on the SM Goal Item on the RSR. (Note
This item will be bolded, because it is a key
core measure. Key additional measures are
    italicized.)

Step 5
  • A list of patients who have set Self-Management
Goals in the past year pops up, labeled
    accordingly at the top
  • Click Excluded at the bottom left of the window
to list patients who DO NOT have Self-Management
    Goals set

Step 7
  • Click on the Copy to Clipboard button. Open a
new Excel file, and Paste using either Ctrl-V on
the keyboard, or going to Edit/Paste. This
copies the list of patients to Excel so it can be
printed or otherwise used. Save this Excel file
in a place you will remember with a file name you
will remember, e.g. the PECS Training folder on
the desktop with the file name Pts no SM Goal.
