- Japanese is a simple, accurate grammatical
system. - Japanese pronunciation is based on 5 basic vowels
and fewer consonants than many other languages. - Japanese is flexible incorporating modern,
traditional, and loan words such as hotto doggu
(hot dog), konpytuuta (computer). - Studying Japanese culture is a way for students
to reflect and learn about their own
language/culture.
