What is a Literature Review and what is its
purpose?

• It is a written summary of journal articles, ERIC
  articles, books, and other sources related to
  youre the topic of your research project
• It establishes a connection between your project
  and what others have said, done, and discovered
  before you
• It allows you to use the insights and of others
  in order to make your reesearch more efficient
  and effective
• It organizes the literature into topics, narrows
  the focus of the study, and gathers information
  for developing a research design

Writing a Literature ReviewChapter II of your
research project

• Minimum of 8-10 current research articles within
  the past 7-10 years. (25-35 articles for the
  whole project)
• Introduction/recap
• Subtopics (usually 6-8)
• Summary (What did the literature tell us? What is
  the compelling reason for your project?)
