  • Strong 111 texture observed in both steels due
    to rolling.
  • The attainment of superior deep drawability in a
    sheet steel can be linked to the ease of
    nucleation and growth of 111 oriented grains in
    the materials (Mishra and Dirmann, 1982).

  • Maximum texture between 40-50 degrees.
  • Texture pattern different for both steels. May be
    due to different phases present in the steel.

Inverse pole figures for a typical wire drawn or
rolled sheet. High density at the corners and
medium density at the center.

Conclusion
  • Pole figure data for dual and TRIP phase steel
    were plotted.
  • Both phases showed strong texture in 110 and 111
    direction.
  • Strong texture in 110 direction may be due to
    rolling of steel and post processing step.
