2Im not really sure Ive got what it takes to go
into higher education
I dont really know what higher education is,
what it looks like, what it means
I had no idea I could progress into higher
education with my skills and qualifications
3Progression agreements - what are they?
- HEFCEs view they support learners' legitimate
expectations to progress from specific programmes
or institutions to other programmes or
institutions, and establish the commitment of
institutions to meet those expectations -

8Caroline We both took part in the skills module
and we were both at different stages of our
foundation degree. The study skills module that
we do within the foundation degree wasnt as
useful.
Sarah For instance, even with like the Harvard
referencing, it showed us step by step, we spent
a lesson on the HE actually going through it bit
by bit. Other people had got no idea as to what
Harvard referencing was, and thats almost how
youre going into your degree youve got no
idea as to what it is, and until youre shown how
to do it and things, I think youre kind of in
the dark.
- Caroline It gives you a really good insight
before you embark on the foundation degree.
