What does a level 2 student look like ?
Can plan and give instructions to make things
happen e.g. press controls to guide a
programmable toy round a route
Uses ICT to organise and classify information and
present their findings e.g. uses a database to
answer simple questions
Can use ICT to help generate, amend and record
their work e.g. uses different techniques and
tools such as geometric shapes, spray and fill
tools in a paint program
Can describe the effects when a model is changed
to make something happen e.g. if I put in Forward
4, the turtle knocks down the skittles
Purposeful use for specific outcomes
With assistance can enter, save, retrieve and
print work
Can share their work in different forms including
text, tables, images and sound e.g. uses a word
processing program to draft and redraft
Use ICT to explore what happens in real and
imaginary situations e.g. uses a talking book
program to make a list of things seen during a
trip to the seaside
Talk about their ICT experiences inside and
outside school e.g. at home our camera fits into
a special printer
