Description

• The Florida Panther is tawny brown on the back
  and pale gray underneath with white flecks on the
  head, neck and shoulder.
• One of the 30 different kinds.

Size

• Males up to 130lb.
• Females 70 lb.

Habitat

• Cypress swamps, Pine hardwood hammock forests.

Diet

• Mostly white tailed deer, sometimes wild hog,
  rabbit, raccoon, armadillo, and birds.

Threats

• Habitat loss because of human development and
  population growth, collision with viecles
  parasites feline distemper feline sickness and
  other diseases.

Interesting Facts

• Its originally from Texas and throughout the
  southern states now only found in Florida.
• Young stay with their mother about three years.
• They travel at night.
• Females bear 2-6 kittens.
