Pronouns are used in place of a noun or another
pronoun.

• The word that a pronoun stands for is called its
  ANTECEDENT.
• The coach rejoiced at his good luck.
• He hugged his players.

• Personal - refers to the first person
• Possessive- shows ownership or belonging
• Reflexive- reflects an action back on the subject
  
• Intensive- adds emphasis to a noun or another
  pronoun

• I, me, we, you, he she, it,
• Ours, yours, hers, his, its,
• Pedro presented himself the award.
• Pedro himself presented the award.

Different Kinds of Pronouns

• Asks a Question????
• Who, whose, whom, which, what, that
• Points out this, that, these, those
• Does not refer to a specific person or thing
  something, anything

• Interrogative- uses who, whom, which, what, whose
  
• Relative- introduces a subordinate clause
• Demonstrative points out specific person,
  places, things or ideas
• Indefinite- how many?
