  • Time-history Analysis by ZEUS-NL program
  • Objective of the study
  • This study describe a sensitivity study of the
    potentially significant parameters which
influence seismic response of LCMF structures
across Memphis, TN located in the Central United
    States.
  • The sensitivity study is necessary to efficiently
perform the regional seismic assessment of LCMF
structures using fragility curves in conjunction
with response surface metamodels (RSMs) which
    are conditional cumulative distribution functions
that define the exceedance probability of a
damage state for a given ground motion intensity
    level.
  • Outlines of the study
  • Plackett-Burman design
  • LCMF structures design
  • Time-history Analysis by ZEUS-NL program
  • Statistical Analysis
  • Conclusions

Peak Global Drift
Peak Inter-story Drift
  • External frame beam and shear design details
  • Sample of Plackett-Burman simulation
  • Conclusions
  • Significant parameters are earthquake intensity,
number of story, damping coefficient, concrete
compressive strength, the first story height,
    earthquake loading direction, design provision,
    and eccentricity.
  • The determined parameters will be used to create
efficient response surface metamodels that are
incorporated with probability concepts to perform
the seismic fragility assessment of the
    populations for LCMF structures.
