What is Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)?
All procedures that involve the partial or total
removal of the female external genitalia and/or
injury to the female genital organs for cultural
or any other non-therapeutic reasons

Type I Clitoridectomy Excision of the prepuce
with or without removal of part or all of the
clitoris.

Type II (Excision) Excision of the prepuce and

Project Objectives
1. Establish plan of action for KUTATI project.
2. Advocate against FGM and for restoration among
90 of registered formal health care providers.
3. Develop competencies in TBAs to become
Trainers of trainers for the eradication of FGM.
