• Assessment model proves success with 10 products
  achieving certification against 1 or more
  specifications
• Long Term preservation formats extended and
  incorporated into model
• First vendor VEOs arrive at PROV for testing on
  10/05/2007
• First vendor to achieve compliance on 21/09/2007
• January 2008 saw compliant product increase by
  300
• February 2008 4 additional vendors progressing
  certification
• Still have 10 months left this year.

• PROV would like to recognise the achievements
  of all compliant vendors
• These vendors have demonstrated the commitment to
  capture and preservation of long-term readable
  and usable electronic records in accordance with
  the principles of PROS 99/007 v2.0 Management of
  Electronic Records

How are we tracking

• Majority of Victorian agencies have access to
  VERS capabilities
• Continuing vendor assessment ensures all agencies
  will have access to VERS capabilities

  capabilities

Future activities

• All potential Recordkeeping systems are
  identified
• Initial contact will be made with 100 of vendors
• Provide support for all factual media releases
• Provide government with a range of VERS tools to
  build into all tenders

• VERS Road show
• PROV allow each compliant vendor an opportunity
  to demonstrate their VERS capabilities, no sales,
  no product demos.
