New GreenLight Project
  • GreenLight is a voluntary European marketing
    programme motivating to adopt energy-efficient
    lighting measures
  • Note SEVEn is both a co-ordinator and a
    co-beneficiary of several EIE projects knowing
    the issue from both sides.

What should future coordinator pay attention to?
  • Content of the project
  • Appropriate consortium members
  • Communication and promotion (with project
    partners, with EACI, public)
  • Motivation to partners

The content must be CRYSTAL CLEAR
  • Preferably already at the time of writing up the
    proposal
  • Need to understand the content of the project in
    detail
  • In order to avoid discussions on what to do after
    the beginning or during the project

Consortium
  • Should be suitable and competent regarding the
    given project
  • Therefore, try to choose partners, who
  • are interested in the topic
  • proved their organizational skills
  • are reliable

Regular communication with partners
  • Questions should be answered swiftly
  • Tasks to be defined clearly to avoid confusion
  • Send out reminders on upcoming deadlines
  • Regularly and
  • well in advance (very important!)

The role of the co-ordinator
  • 1) To ensure that his/her country is the best in
    the consortium
  • 2) To connect and motivate all project partners

Project meetings
  • IMPORTANT WAY TO IMPROVE COOPERATION AND
    INITIATIVES
  • For this, the following is needed
  • Clear definition of tasks
  • Clear set up of schedule and deadlines
  • Tasks understood by all partners

Common excuses
  • External cause Small country
  • Internal cause Out of office for two weeks
  • BUT Proper communication and advance
    notification on upcoming events/deliverables/deadl
    ines from the side of coordinator!

Communication with EACI
  • Regular, continuous, but also meaningful and to
    the point
  • Be specific and concrete
  • Inform on problems/difficulties (do not try to
    hide these)
  • But also on success stories (do not hide these
    either)

Motivating project partners
  • Be positive attention to the realized savings
  • In the spirit of the contract (do know the
    conditions and EACI rules!)

Promotion
  • Different types of promotion to different types
    of target groups
  • Coverage in media (all types)
  • Target group of the project (special events,
    specialized journals)
  • In seminars and deliverables
  • it is advisable to get interested parties on
    board
  • Possible cooperation, co-financing
  • Promotion to broader public
