  • Consultation on published policy paper
  • Draft policy published on website
  • Approval by NZOC, copied to Council
  • Where policy being developed is a change to an
    existing policy, the timetable for implementation
    forms part of the consultation process

  • Fast track option available
  • It is possible that at times a situation occurs
    that requires urgent amendment or establishment
    of a specific policy. Should this situation
    arise, the NZOC may approve such a policy without
    any consultation. Any policy issued as a result
    of this will be clearly identified as an Interim
    Policy and a timeframe set to finalise that
    policy.
