Communication changes

• CORBA timeout behavior for better failover
  reaction
• If a server isnt reachable anymore due to
  technical problems (network cable broken, power
  off, ...), the NinJo client will still react and
  operate when running in a multi-server
  environment with failover servers. In previous
  NinJo versions, the client was not reacting for a
  couple of minutes.
• Starting a NinJo client, when the standard server
  is down/unreachable is much faster now, so the
  user has the ability to select a backup server or
  a remote server instead (in the login dialog)

Data caching

• New version of caching library (ehcache)
  introduced
• The new caching library fixes potential memory
  leaks in the NinJo client

Radar Layer

• Bug 5391 fixed auto update in lateral views of
  drilldown working correct now (was a server side
  problem)
• import and visualization of DWD PM (EU composite)
  at MCH

Satellite layer

• Bug 4449 fixed
• Polar orbiting satellite images working on all
  maps (client side fix)
• Display image with transparent pixels outside the
  satellite spot (server and client side) the
  configured transparent pixel is now set during
  import of the sat channels and products. When
  using Cinesat XRIT decoder, the transparent pixel
  should be set in the output processing of the
  decoder.

Grid layer

• The update (Aktualisieren) button was
  removed, since the pixel area visualizations now
  can deal correctly with zooming and panning

Lightning layer

• Minimal status (system is alive status) added
• Only valid for NCM data
• In this example status and data is OK

• No status data of last 15 min available red
  legend
• (in this example, since we switched to a future
  time point)

• Status table of most recent status before display
  time
• Status is updated on incoming alive file (0
  strokes) or on incoming lightning's
• On switching time in the map, this table is
  automatically updated to match the display time

• New Feature Bft warnings operational (Indicate
  areas with gt BFT8 or BFT10 in Doppler wind data
  of the lowest PU-Level 1km )
• Fix 5774 "Wrong time being displayed when
  re-enabled"
• Fix 5739 "Interpretation problem with the SCIT
  data"

• Correction of QNH (5648)
• Ceiling uses Vertical Visibility of METARS, if
  reported
• Fix bug 5620 (Surface data did disappear, when
  FCST model changed)
