Example
5
Circles
A radius connects the center with a point on a
circle.
6
Circles
A secant is a line that intersects a circle at
two points.
7
Circles
A central angle has its vertex at the center of
the circle.
central angle Ð JKL
A central angle is equal in measure to the arc it
intercepts.
8
Circles
A chord connects two points on a circle. A
diameter is a chord that passes through the
center of a circle.
9
Circles
A tangent is a line that intersects a circle at
one point.
