IL LUPO E LAGNELLO
Un lupo e un agnello, spinti dalla sete, vanno
allo stesso ruscello.  Il lupo sta più in alto
e, un po' più lontano, in basso,
l'agnello.  Allora il malvagio, incitato dalla
gola insaziabile, cerca una causa di
litigio.  "Perché - dice - mi hai fatto
diventare torbida l'acqua che sto bevendo?  E
l'agnello, tremando  "Come posso - dice - fare
quello che lamenti, lupo? L'acqua scorre da te
alle mie sorsate!"  Quello, respinto dalla
forza della verità  Sei mesi fa - aggiunge -
hai parlato male di me!" Risponde l'agnelloMa
veramente... non ero ancora nato!" "Per Ercole!
Tuo padre - dice - ha parlato male di me!" E
così, lo afferra e lo uccide dandogli una morte
ingiusta. Questa favola è scritta per quegli
uomini che opprimono gli innocenti con falsi
pretesti

THE WOLF AND THE LAMB
A wolf and a lamb, are thirsty and go to the same
stream to drink., They are not near, the wolf is
at the top and the lamb at the bottom. The wolf,
is looking for an excuse to quarrel. He says
Why dare you muddle my drinking water? The
lamb answers trembling "No, if the water is
muddy up there, I cannot be the cause of it,
for it runs down from you to me." The wolf
defeated by the power of truth, says "But I
remember you now. We met here on this very spot
a year ago, and you insulted me. For such a gross
insult, you owe me your life." That cannot be,"
says the Lamb "I am only six months old." "I
don't care," snarls the Wolf "if it was not you,
it was your father" and with that he rushes
upon the poor little Lamb and kills him with a
wrongly death. This fable is written for those
men that overpower the guiltless with false
excuses.

LUPUS ET AGNUS
Ad rivum eundem lupus et agnus venerant, siti
compulsi.  Superior stabat lupus, longeque
inferior agnus.  Tunc fauce improba latro
incitatus iurgii causam intulit  "Cur -  inquit
- turbulentam fecisti mihi aquam
bibenti?"  Laniger contra timens   Qui possum
- quaeso - facere quod quereris, lupe? A te
decurrit ad meos haustus liquor." Repulsus ille
veritatis viribus "Ante hos sex menses male -
ait  - dixisti mihi".  Respondit
agnus  "Equidem natus non eram!" "Pater,
hercle, tuus - ille inquit  - male dixit mihi!"
Atque ita correptum lacerat iniustanece. Haec
propter illos scripta est homines fabula qui
fictis causis innocentes opprimunt.

COMMENT
I think that the moral of this fable is much
important .we can learn from the story that evil
people always win against good people because
they use false causes against them. I think the
moral is not true because the less powerful
people must use all their strength against the
evil people to win and they mustnt slacken
because they are in right.
