Evaluating a Day Planner

• Assume that you are the assistant manager of the
  following store at the Winnipeg International
  Airport
• The Canadian Scene stocks the latest magazines
  and those last minute necessities to make your
  trip more enjoyable. Three stores are located in
  the airport

• On your last birthday, someone gave you a day
  planner (example shown in class)
• This has given you the bright idea of stocking
  these alongside your cards and magazines
• You mentioned the idea to your manager over the
  phone
• He wants more information

Assignment

• Write an introduction to a report evaluating the
  day planner for possible sale at Canadian Scene
• Your introduction should have the following
  components
• Purpose statement
• Brief description of the day planner
• Evaluation criteria
• Preview of the reports content

Follow-up

• Write your intro in Word and e-mail it to me at
  lhanson_at_rrc.mb.ca
• In subsequent classes we will be developing the
  rest of the report
• This report will be much shorter than the one you
  will be writing for your assignment, but it will
  follow the same basic structure.
