The world is full of shapes. We found many shapes
at St. Michael School. We are going to share them
with you.

This is a square. A square has 4 sides.It has 4
corners.

This is a rectangle. Rectangles have 4 corners.
If you draw a line down the middle, you get 2
squares. A rectangle has 2 short sides and 2 long
sides.

This is a circle. A circle has no sides. They are
round. A circle is like a ball. It doesnt have
any corners.

This is an oval. It doesnt roll like a circle.
An oval doesnt have corners. It doesnt have any
straight lines. It doesnt have any sides.

This is a triangle. A triangle has 3 straight
lines. A triangle has 3 corners. A triangle is
not round like a circle. It has 3 sides. It has
pointy corners.
