The Eurovision Song Contest 2005 was the fiftieth
edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which was
held at the Palace of Sports, Kiev, Ukraine. The
winner was Greece's My Number One, performed by
popular singer Elena Paparizou, who scored 230
points, while Malta's Angel performed by Chiara
was the runner up with 192 points. The contest
took place on 19 May 2005 for the semifinal and
21 May 2005 for the final.

All our country was so excited and we celebrate
this special event for many days! We were so
proud for Elena and her fambulous appearance on
the stage!

• Eurovision started to become important and
  interesting for Greek people, after our win in
  2005 with Elena Paparizou and the song My number
  one

  was Alexandra Pashalidou

But the most famous delivery speech for many yeas
in Eurovision was Dafni Bokota!!! She is a legend

When eurovision take place in our country except
for our wonderful Organization, the couple who
presented the event was wonderful too Sakis
Rouvas and Maria Menounos were the protagonists
of the night !!!

2004 Greece send to Eurovision Saki Rouva. Hes
the most popular singer!!!
Next year, 2005 Elena Paparizou make the
difference
2006 our national star Anna Vissi went to this
event but unfortunately we took the 9th place
2007 Sarbel went to eurovision and we Took the
7th place

Last year 2007 competed Sarbel, Tamta and Hristos
Dantis with songs geia sou maria, with love and
no Madonna!!! Finally Sarbel won with a majority
of our votes and gone to the Eurovision
contest!!!!

This year we are going to send to eurovision with
a voting, Kostas Martakis with the song Always
And Forever
Or Hrispa with the song A Change To Love
Or Kalomira with the song Secret Combination.
